FRIDAY JUNE 27th, 2008 @ 8PM & 10PM

S.O.B.'s Latin Concerts Presents:

La Bolá

Timba Cubana

La Bolá is presently in the recording studio finalizing their first CD. The word is, “It’s really sizzling!”  But before the CD hits the streets La Bolá takes to the stage and heats up the dance floor once again at New York’s world famous S.O.B.'s night club.

La Bolá is one of the top Timba bands in the US and has developed into a powerful force in the Cuban music scene. Drawing from some of the leading Cuban musicians in the tri-state area (as well as some non-Cuban infiltraos), this group emerged out of a deep desire to establish a real Timba-band in the NYC-area and across the US, one which reflected the real sounds of "la calle Cubana". Their approach is to provide an eclectic blend of Cuban music, ranging across a wide spectrum of styles and genres, yet in a refreshingly modern Timba style. La Bolá centers on harmonious, groove-set Timba music, that is not aggressive or confusing, but easy to understand, engaging and more importantly, very danceable.
