DELEXILIO, (or "Del Exilio,") means "from the exile.”  An Afro-Cuban rock fusion of Cuban and American musical styles — DELEXILIO is the musical project of David Sandoval, a young musician born into the world of Cuban exiles, living life to a Cuban rhythm in the heart of the New York urban scene.

DELEXILIO brings the funk "a lo Cubano,” channeling the rhythm of the Cuban son through guitar riffs, mixing rock, hip hop, and funk beats with Cuban cadence, and immersing us in passionate lyrics in English and Spanish. This music is meant to move you, make you dance, and inspire you to think. Feel the groove, transport yourself to a tropical paradise, and shout for freedom! You may think it’s the Red Hot Chili Peppers meets Buena Vista Social Club, or Shakira jamming with Orishas and Pitbull, but that’s just what we do at DELEXILIO – we mix it up American, and throw it down Cuban style.

DELEXILIO supports artistic expression on and off the island of Cuba, and looks forward to a post-Castro, post-embargo world of reconciliation and unity.
